With the popularity of smartphones and use of online services on the rise it is important to know what privacy settings are available and help keep internet users safe and informed. As a part of the International Data Privacy day, Mozilla Zimbabwe launched a privacy campaign (1 March 2016 – 31 March 2016) with the mission to raise awareness for privacy issues. The campaign is in 2 sections: the online campaign followed by an offline event.
Online campaign – The goal of the online campaign is to post a privacy tip per day. These tips will be shared throughout the month of March via social media ( Facebook and Twitter) These hashtags have been used to increase engagement #PrivacyMonth #Advocate4Privacy #PrivacyAwareness.
Offline event – The Mozilla Zimbabwe community will host an event to teach about privacy.
Help us spread the privacy message by retweeting and sharing posts on Facebook / Twitter.
